About WhiteLine Drylining

Practical internal wall and ceiling solutions.
Built for homes and small refurbishments.

WhiteLine Drylining specialises in drylining, interior finishing and paint-ready wall and ceiling preparation for residential customers across Wakefield, Leeds, Ossett and surrounding West Yorkshire areas.

Our work covers internal walls and ceilings — construction, repair, levelling and finishing. Our work includes plasterboard installation, taping and jointing, filling, sanding and surface preparation for an agreed paint-ready or wallpaper-ready finish. Existing plastered or concrete surfaces are assessed for condition and suitability before a method is selected.

01 · Method

The method depends on the surface and the result.

After assessing the existing wall or ceiling, WhiteLine may use plasterboard repair, localised filling and sanding, drylining, taping and jointing, or a specified full-surface compound finish.

No single method suits every surface. Plasterboard may be framed or bonded to suitable masonry; sound existing surfaces may be repaired, filled and prepared. The background must be assessed for stability, moisture and suitability for the selected system.

Repair or build the structure correctly, create a clean continuous surface, and leave it ready for paint, wallpaper or the agreed final finish.
02 · Delivery

Small jobs are treated as real projects

WhiteLine is particularly suited to smaller domestic jobs that can be awkward for larger contractors — damaged walls and ceilings, room alterations, partitions, doorway changes, boxing and localised refurbishment.

Before work begins, the scope, expected finish and price are agreed so both sides understand what is included.

External façade, structural and specialist damp-remediation works are outside the normal WhiteLine scope.

Core services

Small works.
Professional system.

Focused on private domestic work, practical repairs and internal improvements — without the overhead of a large contractor.

01

Plasterboard & small wall repairs

Plasterboard wall repairs, damaged ceiling patches and making good. Localised filling and sanding correct minor surface defects; existing plaster or concrete is assessed before work is agreed.

02

Wall & ceiling surface preparation

Wall filling and sanding, ceiling surface preparation and wall preparation for painting or wallpapering. Loose, damp or unstable backgrounds need assessment before a suitable repair or preparation method is agreed.

03

Drylining & plasterboarding

Plasterboard installation for walls and ceilings, metal stud partitions, suspended ceilings, boxing and insulation. The support and system are selected for the property and agreed scope.

04

Taping & jointing

Plasterboard joints, fixings and corners are taped, filled and sanded for the agreed finish. Joint treatment and localised filling are different operations; full-surface compound finishing is specified separately where required.

WhiteLine finish definition

What “paint-ready” means.

Paint-ready means the agreed wall or ceiling surface has been repaired, filled, sanded and prepared for the decoration stage specified in the quotation. Localised filling, plasterboard taping and jointing, and full-surface compound finishing are different operations. Traditional plaster skimming and painting and decorating are separate work. Primer, sealer and final paint are included only where expressly stated in the quotation.

Enquiry, survey and payment

Free first review.
Professional site survey when required.

The first enquiry stays low-friction. WhiteLine decides whether photographs and approximate dimensions are enough or whether a paid on-site inspection is needed before a firm quotation.

  1. 01

    Free initial enquiry

Share the problem, photographs, approximate measurements, required finish, timing and approximate location. This requests an assessment only — it is not a booking or a contract.

  2. 02

    Free initial assessment

WhiteLine reviews suitability, asks clarification questions and may provide an approximate guide range.

  3. 03

    Paid survey where required

If inspection and measurement are needed, WhiteLine issues a specific Squarespace Pay Link. The visit is confirmed only after payment is received and WhiteLine separately confirms the appointment.

  4. 04

Estimate, written quote and job stages

An estimate is approximate and subject to confirmed scope. A job-specific written quote states what is included, excluded and payable before you decide whether to accept it.
